ERIN ON THE GO

Let me start by saying I never thought this would happen!! For years, I’ve wanted to to work from anywhere while travel. At first, I was thinking of doing this in a tiny home but then reality set in and I started thinking about the vehicle I would have to buy to haul a tiny home and the cajones I would have to have to drive and pull something like that!!

And, not to mention, the cost for gas it would take for both. So, although, I still really love tiny houses, I have put that dream aside.

Then I started seeing all of these people renovating vans and creating campers out of them and I was obsessed but when you’re manifesting something, it can come in many different ways. So, in the end, I don’t really care how I am able to live and travel as long as I am taking all the comforts of home and my things with me wherever I go.

I’m still in the beginning stages and doing lots of research and reading along with connecting with other females who are already living out their dreams and traveling so I’m starting this blog now so I can document everything and hope that it helps others as I go.

When I was a child, my parents used to take me camping. For awhile we had a popup camper and I also remember one time when we rented or borrowed a huge RV so camping won’t be totally new to me but something I haven’t done in many, many years.

I lived in San Diego, CA, for almost 12 years and loved it so much. While I was there, my friends and I traveled to various places, such as, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas and took many day trips just to explore as well. I made the decision to move back to the East Coast because I missed my family and also because I wanted to buy a house and that’s what I did.

Fast forward about 7 years after buying my house and I haven’t traveled at all really. Then Covid hits and, just like everyone, I am stuck in my house, living and working. I am a huge introvert and didn’t really mind it, actually I love working at home but the longer and longer it went on, I was realizing I was getting tired of never doing anything.

Then I find out from my full time job that we would be continuing to work remote indefinitely and my mind starts working overtime. If I’m working remote, that means as long as I have strong and secure internet, I can work from anywhere. That’s where all of this dreaming for years, started to turn into something that I really CAN do!

I’ve always loved seeing new places and exploring new areas so this is absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to start. I know many people do this because they love the outdoors like going hiking but I’ve got to say, that’s not really my reason. I do want to see nature’s beauty and take some amazing photos to share on here and social media but what I am so excited to do is explore new towns and check out all of the little shops, restaurants, farmers markets and small, as they call, mom and pop places that you just don’t see everywhere.

Being able to meet people that make these little places successful is something that I cannot wait to do. Along with this, I would love to meet up with people that I’ve been talking to online in various groups or that I’ve worked or connected with because of my web design business.

This website and blog will be combining my passions, web design and traveling along with lifestyle stuff too so I hope you enjoy! I’m so excited and hope you continue reading and follow along on Instagram.
